Writing a good cv

I regularly have cause to review CVs that have been submitted for roles that we are recruiting for and almost every one that I read includes some ridiculous inadequacies... 1.) do not write curriculum vitae at the top of your document, I know it's a cv, it's quite obvious. 2.) do not include the words motivated team player in your profile/personal statement/synopsis, it is over used and meaningless 3.) unless you have just left school, do not put your education before your career history, obvious exception to this being relative professional qualifications 4.) do not tell me that your interests include socialising and listening to music, unless you have recently found a love of these having spent life as a hermit! 5.) possibly the most important, this document is designed to sell you, it is your brag sheet, your opportunity to tell people how good you are, make sure it looks professional, make sure you check what your agency are going to do to it, believe me, agencies destroy CVs! Still no darth!

I spoke to the dealership yesterday who confirmed that they are waiting for parts, seals to be exact..

I think the seals are walking from Germany!

Oh well, off out drinking tonight, so the weekend should pass quickly! Fingers crossed darth will be ready early next week!

GOK is gone, long live darth

I said a somewhat emotional goodbye to my beloved but broken Eunos roadster this morning.

GOK went terminal with an engine failure a little while ago and I just haven't got the time to put him back together.. The new owner is going to spend the time to restore him, so he lives on!

Darth is the replacement, a splendid jack black smart brabus roadster coupe xclusive.. Quite frankly, I can't wait to get my hands on darth and start enjoying driving again!

Fingers crossed we should get a call from the dealer today to let us know when he'll be ready.

The AutoSport/Pistonheads Show

What a day... Great on most levels, poor on others... It was great to catch up with Frosty and witness some of this tyre destruction..

The Live Action Arena show was splendid, some really nice cars and some impressive driving..

You do think that they could make a little more of it though.. It seems to take the same format every year.. Wandering around the halls, you really begin to think that you actually need several days to take the show in properly.. There are an awful lot of things to see, and, having seen other peoples photos, it's all to easy to miss some of them.. Would I go to the Autosport show again? Maybe... but only if I had free tickets!!
