Still no darth!

Still waiting for darth!

I spoke to the dealership yesterday who confirmed that they are waiting for parts, seals to be exact..

I think the seals are walking from Germany!

Oh well, off out drinking tonight, so the weekend should pass quickly! Fingers crossed darth will be ready early next week!

GOK is gone, long live darth

I said a somewhat emotional goodbye to my beloved but broken Eunos roadster this morning.

GOK went terminal with an engine failure a little while ago and I just haven't got the time to put him back together.. The new owner is going to spend the time to restore him, so he lives on!

Darth is the replacement, a splendid jack black smart brabus roadster coupe xclusive.. Quite frankly, I can't wait to get my hands on darth and start enjoying driving again!

Fingers crossed we should get a call from the dealer today to let us know when he'll be ready.

The AutoSport/Pistonheads Show

What a day... Great on most levels, poor on others... It was great to catch up with Frosty and witness some of this tyre destruction..

The Live Action Arena show was splendid, some really nice cars and some impressive driving..

You do think that they could make a little more of it though.. It seems to take the same format every year.. Wandering around the halls, you really begin to think that you actually need several days to take the show in properly.. There are an awful lot of things to see, and, having seen other peoples photos, it's all to easy to miss some of them.. Would I go to the Autosport show again? Maybe... but only if I had free tickets!!

Reduced sodium salt

Whilst waiting for my lunchtime sandwich, I noticed a packet of Reduced Sodium Salt.. Now, if my school boy chemistry is correct, surely salt is Sodium Chloride... So what is reduced Sodium Salt... Autosport excitment builds

Having just seen this photo of one of Andy Frost's burnouts during the live action arena at the autosport show, I think it's safe to say it's going to be fun!

I miss the somewhat overpowering smell of burnout rubber!

Shelby and the outside world

Oh dear, Shelby appears to have found the cat flap!

Yes, this bundle of sleepy fluff has gone mildly crazy and is making a move on the cat flap.. She has no idea what it does, but smacking into it at full pelt appears to fill her with joy!

Fingers crossed she doesn't venture into the big wide world too soon!

Off to the autosport show

Although there's a busy weekend ahead with a diamond wedding anniversary celebration in the family, I'm really rather looking forward to a visit to the Autosport and PistonHeads show at the Birmingham NEC on Sunday. It's my first visit to the Autosport show and the inaugural year of the ph show so I'm rather hoping it's going to be an interesting day.. My good friend Andy frost of www.redvictor1racing.co.uk will be part of the live action arena show, so it'll be good to catch up with Andy in the paddock and chat about some potential developments for this year... Which I guess leads me to something that has been troubling me of late, for the last few years I've been involved with a race team who appear to have come to a fork in their future, I'm now sat in the wings awaiting a decision as to whether they continue racing... With an offer on the table from another race team what do you do? Attempt to stay loyal or look after number one? I've been mulling this one over since Sunday and am no closer to a decision!! ---------------------- sent via blackberry
